Half brick

One-and-a-half brick is an artificial stone of the size 250x120x88 mm. Made of mineral materials. It has the correct form and has the properties of frost resistance, strength and water resistance. Its use in construction allows saving material and time resources, as a result of which a positive economic effect is achieved.

A one-and-a-half is called because it is larger than the standard one.

Standard brick - 250x120x65 mm.and one-and-a-half - 250x120x88 mm.

Due to the larger size, it has many advantages, the main ones being:

  • cost savings due to the fact that you need to use less solution;
  • speeding up the construction process.

It can be building or facing brick.

Facing has several versions of the side faces:

  • smooth,
  • fluted,
  • textured.

It is also possible to choose one or a combination of colors for specific purposes.

 Half brick

There are one-and-a-half bricks, and there are with voids. On the last form we will dwell in more detail.

Voids are added to reduce the use of raw materials in the manufacture, they occupy about 30% of the total.

However, everything is thought out in such a way that the half-brick can withstand as much load as possible despite the presence of voids.

Solid also have greater strength compared to hollow cores. But the price is higher. On the other hand, one-and-a-half bricks with voids retain heat better in rooms due to the presence of air inside the wall.

Therefore, if it is necessary to reduce the cost of building a building and speed up the process of building walls, then one of the ways to achieve these goals is to use bricks. Due to the increased size of 250x120x88 mm., Significant savings in time and money are achieved.
